TV Lift Cabinet

A TV lift cabinet hides a television inside a cabinet and raises it only when you want to watch. That means no black screen on the wall, no dust on the panel, and a living room that looks like a living room instead of a home theatre.

What to Check Before You Buy

Three numbers decide whether a lift cabinet works in your room: the screen size, the screen weight, and the VESA mounting pattern on the back of your TV.

Screen size

The cabinet is always the part that sets the maximum. A 1650mm wide cabinet suits screens up to 65 inch. The lift inside is rated from 37 inch, but because its smallest mounting pattern is 200 x 200mm, the practical floor is around 40 inch.

Screen weight

Weight is the limit people overlook. Measure your TV without its stand, then compare it to the cabinet rating rather than the lift rating, because the cabinet carries the load.

VESA mounting pattern

Most 40 to 65 inch televisions use a pattern between 200 x 200mm and 600 x 400mm. Check the four mounting holes on the back of your screen, and check curved panels too, since they are supported.

Installation Options

A lift cabinet is not the only way to hide a screen, but it is the only option that keeps the cabinet looking like furniture. In a lift cabinet the screen rises through the top and the cabinet top panel seals itself closed again when the screen is lowered.

These cabinets are large and heavy, so they are collection only from our Victorian warehouse. We email you after your order to arrange a time. There is no delivery option on a TV lift cabinet.
