Motorised TV Mount

How to Choose a Motorised TV Mount

A motorised TV mount moves a compatible display electronically, allowing it to fold down from a ceiling or change position without manual lifting. Before choosing one, confirm the TV's screen size, weight, VESA mounting pattern, ceiling or mounting structure, movement clearance and preferred remote or app controls.

Confirm display and VESA compatibility

Check the television's weight without its original stand and match its rear mounting-hole pattern to the mount's supported VESA range. Screen size is a guide, but weight and mounting pattern determine compatibility.

Check the structure and movement path

The ceiling or supporting surface must be suitable for the combined load. Measure the full movement path so the screen clears walls, furniture, lights and other fittings, and plan access to power and cable routing.

Compare controls and installation needs

Confirm whether the model uses a handheld remote, app or other control method and whether professional electrical or structural installation is appropriate. For non-motorised alternatives, compare the complete TV stand and mount range.
