Cable Management
Cable Management for Height-Adjustable Desks
A sit-stand desk moves roughly half a metre through its range, so cables need somewhere to travel that is not a loose loop behind the frame. Ergox stocks two cable spines, one screw-fixed and one clamp-on, plus an under-desk cable tray for the power brick, adaptors and spare leads.
1. Choose the fixing method
Screw-fixed spines need a pilot hole in the desk or frame. Clamp-on spines install without tools and suit a desk you would rather not drill. Both hold the cable bundle in a vertical spine so it flexes predictably as the desk rises.
2. Check the spine reach matches your desk travel
Measure the desk's lowest and highest position. The spine has to span that distance without pulling taut or bunching.
3. Put the bulk in a tray
A cable tray takes power bricks and excess lead off the floor and away from the moving parts.
Pair these with a CPU mount and keyboard tray, or browse all sit-stand desk accessories.
