Choosing the right monitor arm comes down to seven checks: VESA pattern, screen size, weight, number of screens, arm mechanism, mounting type and desk space. Work through the list below before you order and you'll get an arm that holds its position and fits your desk.
1. VESA Compatibility & VESA Plate
Most computer monitors have a 75×75mm or 100×100mm VESA mounting hole pattern on the back. ERGOX monitor arms use standard VESA plates that fit these patterns, so they suit the vast majority of monitors.

2. Screen Size
Monitors keep getting larger and wider. If a screen is too big for its arm, you can run into problems: the screen may not rotate from landscape to portrait without hitting the desk, and two screens on a dual arm may not line up in height or depth.

3. Weight Capacity
Larger monitors also weigh more. If a screen is heavier than the arm is rated for, the arm will sag and won't hold its position, and tilt, swivel and rotation can be affected.
Always compare your screen's weight (without its stand) against the per-screen rating on the product page. For heavy or curved screens, choose a heavy-duty arm such as the Super Heavy Duty Ultrawide Monitor Arm (up to 57", 27kg) or the Pole-Mounted Dual Ultrawide Monitor Arm (up to 49", 20kg per screen).
4. Screen Quantity
Choose a single arm or a multi-screen mount based on how many monitors you use. One screen is enough for many office workers, but dual and triple setups are increasingly common because they give you more viewing space and make multitasking easier. 5. Mechanical Structure

6. Installation Types
Most of our desk-mounted arms include both a C-clamp and a grommet mount. 7. Space Restrictions
